Badminton

We learnt how to play Badminton.

First, we practised holding and hitting the ball. We had to hold the ball with our dominant hand, we had to hit the ball softly. The important thing is that we have to stand still because it makes us control ourselves.

Next, we practise hitting the ball with a partner. We had to hit the ball with the racket to each other.

Afterwards, we played a game called name game. There were 3 teams, we had to get in a circle and one person had to be in the middle. The person in the middle has to say someone’s name and hit the ball to them. The person they called out has to run to the ball and hit it. Then the other person needs to do the same thing. We had to see how many times we hit the ball in the air.

Last, we played piggy in the middle by using the shuttles and rackets. There are 2 people on the left side and right side, and the other person is in the middle. The person in the middle had to catch the shuttle with the racket or if it’s on the ground they can take it and the person who hit the ball has to go in the middle.

I didn’t really enjoy this activity because it was hard for me to hit the ball in the air and I can’t control myself when I am standing still. I did well on hitting the ball onto the ground. I need to improve on hitting the ball in the air.

Statistic

I revised learning things about Statistic.

First, we needed to answer the 4 questions. The questions were: “What is your favourite colour”, “What month you are born in”, “How many people live in your house”, and “Can you ride a bike?”

Next, we drew a tally and put all the information about all the 4 questions. For an example: What is your favourite colour? 5 people like blue, 6 people like green, 2 people like red, 2 people like purple, 1 person likes black and 2 people like brown.

Last, we needed to write what I can see on the tally and bar graph. For an example: I can see that most of the students were born in April.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt things about statistic. I did well on writing what I can see. I need to improve on drawing the bar graph properly.

Commanding Conversation

I typed down a conversation.

First, I had to pick an image.

Next, I had to pick the name for the characters that is on the image. They are: Alice, Ophelia, Levi, and Henry.

Skits Video

We recorded a skit video.

First, my group and I had to fix some parts and we added one more character in the Google Doc.

Next, my group and I practised our script. Brooke is Ida who is the bully, Ane is Diola who is the backup for her friend, and Siniva is Donatienne who is the person who is getting bullied by Ida.

Lastly, we had recorded our skits. We recorded our skits outside and we had to get one person to record us because the actors are me, Ane, and Siniva.

I enjoyed this activity because we recorded a skit video. I did well on acting. I need to improve on speaking louder.

T-Ball

We revised playing T-Ball.

First, we played a game called T-Ball. There were two teams which were fielders and batters.  My team was the fielders. The fielders need to take the ball, throw it to the other fielder, and put it back on the tee.

Next, we played another game of T-Ball but my team was the batters. The batters need to hit the ball that is on the tee and run to the first base or second base or third base.

I enjoyed this activity because I revised playing T-Ball. I did well on trying to get the ball. I need to improve on hitting the ball.

Portia Woodman

I learnt informations about Portia Woodman.

First, I had to find informations about Portia Woodman. One of the infomation I found about Portia Woodman is that she was one of the most recognised players in women’s sevens, as the leading try scorer on World Series.

Next, I had to answer the questions. One of the questions I answered was: What did it take in order for her to be successful? By being the first women to score 200 tries in Sevens Series.

I enjoyed this activity because I found informations about Portia Woodman. I did well on answering some of the questions. I need to improve on finding more fun facts about Portia Woodman.

Skit

I learnt how to write a skit.

First, we needed to think of a message. My group’s message is: Be confident and face your bully.

Next, we had to find a name for our 2 characters and write their description. The two characters and their description are as follows. Ida is a mean girl, who always bullies Diola. Another character is Diola and she is very nice and kind to others.

After that, we typed down what the characters are going to say and their actions.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to write a skit. I did well on typing down the script. I need to improve on making a script that suits to the message.
