Solvemoji

I completed a can-do task called Solvemoji.

I had to find out how much the emoji’s are worth and finding out the answer. For an example: Drums x Drums = 100 so its 10 x 10 because it equals to 100.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt on finding out the answer by seeing how much the emoji’s are worth. I did well on answering the puzzle.

Statistics

I learnt about statistics.

First, we needed to answer the 4 questions. The questions were: “What is your favourite colour”, “What month you are born in”, “How many people live in your house”, and “Can you ride a bike?”

Next, we drew a tally and put all the information about all the 4 questions. For an example: What is your favourite colour? 5 people like blue, 6 people like green, 2 people like red, 2 people like purple, 1 person likes black and 2 people like brown.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to use tally and graphs. I did well on drawing the tally and put all the information in. I need to improve on drawing the graphs.

Adding Fractions

I learnt how to add fractions.

First, I had to learn how to add fractions. For an example: We need to solve 4/7 + 2/7. We only have to change the numerator, we had to add 4 + 2 together and the denominators stays the same. So the answer is 6/7.

Next, I had to answer all of questions that is on the Google Doc.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to add fractions. I did well on adding fractions. I need to improve on explaining what is fractions.

Pencil Code

I learnt how to code.

First, I had to make a Small Square, Large Square, Triangle and a Rectangle. Then I had to take a screenshot and put the code in. For an example: The code for the triangle is – Speed 10, Pen Purple, Lt 35, Fd 100, Lt 110, Fd 100, Lt 125, Fd 115.

Last, I did the challenge. The challenges I had to make were: a Hexagon, an Octagon and a Pentagon.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to code. I did well on making all the shapes.

Co-ordinates

I learnt how to use Coordinates.

First, I learnt what is coordinates and how is wrote. Coordinates is just like a map that shows you where to find the location in the correct place. Coordinates is a table with the numbers on the side and the letters on the bottom and its wrote like this (B,2).

Next, I had to explain how to find coordinates. You have to read the bottom row first and see which place it’s in. Then read the side and see which row it’s in.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to use Coordinates. I did well on finding coordinates. I need to improve on explaining how to find coordinates.

Sequential Patterns

I learnt what was a Sequential Pattern.

First, we learned the difference between Patterns and Sequential Patterns. Patterns is something that is in order. Sequential Pattern is a something that keeps repeating again and again.

Next, we needed to create a sequential patterns of our own by using google slide, I needed to make a Shape Pattern, a Colour Pattern, a Object Pattern, a Letter Pattern, and a Number Pattern. I had to write down the questions, they are: “What is the patterns?”, “What comes next?”, and “What comes third?”

Last, we needed to create the answer slide for people to know if they got the questions correct.

I enjoyed this activity because I made my own quiz. I did well on creating my own sequential patterns. I need to improve on creating a confusing pattern.

Basic Facts Boxes

I completed a Speed Demon challenge up to multiplication.

I got all answers correct and my finishing time was 3 minute and 46 seconds. I enjoyed this challenge because it makes my skills go up. I did well on getting all the answers correct. I need to improve on finishing it under 3 minutes.

How to read the time

Follow these instructions to learn how to tell digital time.

Materials:

  • Analog clock

Steps:

  1. Read the hour hand. This will give the hour between 1-12.
  2. Read the minute hand. This will give the minute between 1-60.
  3. Combine the hour and minutes numbers. Hours are written on the left side, and minutes are on the right side.

Basic Facts Boxes

I completed a Speed Demon challenge up to multiplication. I got all answers correct and my finishing time was 3 minute and 18 seconds. I enjoyed this challenge because it makes my skills go up. I did well on getting all the answers correct. I need to improve on finishing it under 3 minutes.

Telling Times

There are 9 following on a small clock.

The second hand is a long thin hand which it shows the shortest time that has past. The minute hand is a long hand which it shows medium time that has past. The hour hand is a short thick hand which it shows the longest time that has past.

Anticlockwise involves a turn to the left and Clockwise involves a turn to the right. The small black lines are the minute division and the black numbers are the hour division.

The 9 following on a small clock helps people showing the time cleary.
