Co-ordinates

I learnt how to use Coordinates.

First, I learnt what is coordinates and how is wrote. Coordinates is just like a map that shows you where to find the location in the correct place. Coordinates is a table with the numbers on the side and the letters on the bottom and its wrote like this (B,2).

Next, I had to explain how to find coordinates. You have to read the bottom row first and see which place it’s in. Then read the side and see which row it’s in.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to use Coordinates. I did well on finding coordinates. I need to improve on explaining how to find coordinates.

Sequential Patterns

I learnt what was a Sequential Pattern.

First, we learned the difference between Patterns and Sequential Patterns. Patterns is something that is in order. Sequential Pattern is a something that keeps repeating again and again.

Next, we needed to create a sequential patterns of our own by using google slide, I needed to make a Shape Pattern, a Colour Pattern, a Object Pattern, a Letter Pattern, and a Number Pattern. I had to write down the questions, they are: “What is the patterns?”, “What comes next?”, and “What comes third?”

Last, we needed to create the answer slide for people to know if they got the questions correct.

I enjoyed this activity because I made my own quiz. I did well on creating my own sequential patterns. I need to improve on creating a confusing pattern.

Basic Facts Boxes

I completed a Speed Demon challenge up to multiplication.

I got all answers correct and my finishing time was 3 minute and 46 seconds. I enjoyed this challenge because it makes my skills go up. I did well on getting all the answers correct. I need to improve on finishing it under 3 minutes.

How to read the time

Follow these instructions to learn how to tell digital time.

Materials:

  • Analog clock

Steps:

  1. Read the hour hand. This will give the hour between 1-12.
  2. Read the minute hand. This will give the minute between 1-60.
  3. Combine the hour and minutes numbers. Hours are written on the left side, and minutes are on the right side.

Basic Facts Boxes

I completed a Speed Demon challenge up to multiplication. I got all answers correct and my finishing time was 3 minute and 18 seconds. I enjoyed this challenge because it makes my skills go up. I did well on getting all the answers correct. I need to improve on finishing it under 3 minutes.

Telling Times

There are 9 following on a small clock.

The second hand is a long thin hand which it shows the shortest time that has past. The minute hand is a long hand which it shows medium time that has past. The hour hand is a short thick hand which it shows the longest time that has past.

Anticlockwise involves a turn to the left and Clockwise involves a turn to the right. The small black lines are the minute division and the black numbers are the hour division.

The 9 following on a small clock helps people showing the time cleary.

Prototec

We needed to test ourselves to see what we know by using Prototec.

First, we had to choose our maths stage we are on. If you’re a year 4, you need to choose stage 5. If you’re a year 5, you need to choose stage 6. If you’re a year 6, you need to choose stage 7.

Next, we needed to use the timer to see how fast we could answer the questions correctly. Then, we used the sheet to see how many questions we answered correctly.

Afterwards, we needed to write down all of our incorrect questions in our maths books.

I really need to improve on taking a guess on every question I didn’t answer and answering the questions faster. This test type was the Timed. I did well on answering some of the answers quickly.

I did well on answering the questions without the timer because I had time answering the questions. I need to improve on knowing the factor mathtype. This test type was the Sheet.

I enjoyed this activity because I test myself to see what we know by using Prototec.. I did well on the sheet because I had time answering the questions. I really need to improve on the timer by  taking a guess on every question I didn’t answer and answer the questions faster.

Fact Families

We learnt Basic Facts.

First, we needed to type down our times tables which they are 4x, 6x, 7x, and 8x. We need to make 7 slides for 4x. We need to make 5 slides for 6x. We need to make 4 slides for 7x and we need to make 3 slides for 8x.

Next, we need to type down their Fact Families. For an example: 6 x 4 = 24, 4 x 6 = 24, 24 ÷ 4 = 6 and 24 ÷ 6 = 4. They are the 4x Fact Families.

Last, we needed to take a picture of counters that are groups of.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt Basic Facts. I did well on my times tables. I need to improve on knowing what is the difference between groups of and groups is.

Place Value

We learnt number bonds from 1 to 1000.

First, we played a game about number bonds so we can get an idea.

Next, we took a picture of showing the place value blocks to show number bonds from 1-1000.

Last, we needed to make 3 Google Drawing of numberbonds. The first poster was number bonds to 1, the second poster was number bonds to 100 and the last poster was number bonds to 1000.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt number bonds up to 1-1000. I did well on 10-100. I need to improve on saying my number bonds to 100-1000 faster.
