Kelly Sport

We played 3 games.

First, we played a mini obstacle course. We had to run in Zig Zag, jumping over the orange bar, do 5 star jumps, run straight and then skip walking.

Next, we played infinite tag. To play the game, if someone tag someone else, they have to sit down and wait until that person gets tagged so that person could be back into the game.

Last, we played Golden Child. There are 2 teams, 1 person from each team has to run, do 5 squats and then when they meet each other, they had to do rock, paper, scissors. If one of the person won on rock, paper, scissor, they have run to the other teams bases and the next person goes.

I enjoyed this activity because we played 3 games. I did well on playing rock, paper, scissors. I need to improve on skip walking.

Badminton

We learnt how to play Badminton.

First, we practised holding and hitting the ball. We had to hold the ball with our dominant hand, we had to hit the ball softly. The important thing is that we have to stand still because it makes us control ourselves.

Next, we practise hitting the ball with a partner. We had to hit the ball with the racket to each other.

Afterwards, we played a game called name game. There were 3 teams, we had to get in a circle and one person had to be in the middle. The person in the middle has to say someone’s name and hit the ball to them. The person they called out has to run to the ball and hit it. Then the other person needs to do the same thing. We had to see how many times we hit the ball in the air.

Last, we played piggy in the middle by using the shuttles and rackets. There are 2 people on the left side and right side, and the other person is in the middle. The person in the middle had to catch the shuttle with the racket or if it’s on the ground they can take it and the person who hit the ball has to go in the middle.

I didn’t really enjoy this activity because it was hard for me to hit the ball in the air and I can’t control myself when I am standing still. I did well on hitting the ball onto the ground. I need to improve on hitting the ball in the air.

T-Ball

We revised playing T-Ball.

First, we played a game called T-Ball. There were two teams which were fielders and batters.  My team was the fielders. The fielders need to take the ball, throw it to the other fielder, and put it back on the tee.

Next, we played another game of T-Ball but my team was the batters. The batters need to hit the ball that is on the tee and run to the first base or second base or third base.

I enjoyed this activity because I revised playing T-Ball. I did well on trying to get the ball. I need to improve on hitting the ball.

Netball

We revised playing Netball.

First, we practised passing the ball. We got into a group of 3 and we had to make a triangle. We had to do the chest pass and to catch the ball we had to make a triangle.

Next, we played 3 relay games. We got into 2 teams, the first game we played was that the other team had to make a circle and they had to pass it around the circle and my team had to run around the circle until everyone had a turn. The second game we played was that our team had to make a line and pass on over our heads and under our legs.

Last, we practised playing netball. There were 2 defenders and 2 shooters, the shooter cannot run with the ball, they have to try passing the ball to the other shooter and the 2 defenders are trying to defend the ball from the shooters and there were 3 attackers in both of the teams.

I enjoyed this activity because we revised playing Netball. I did well on being an attacker. I need to improve on defending the ball when someone is trying to pass the ball to their other teammates.

Netball

We learnt how to pass, catch and shoot the ball into the hoop in netball.

First, we practise playing netball. There were 2 defenders and 2 shooters, the shooter cannot run with the ball, they have to try passing the ball to the other shooter and the 2 defenders are trying to defend the ball from the shooters.

Next, we played a game. There was the non-bib team and the bib team. We had to try getting all the ball on the hoop by passing the ball to our other teammates. If we drop the ball, we have to put all the ball back to another hoop.

Afterwards, we played a game of netball. There were 2 defenders, 2 shooters on my team and the other team, and there were 8 attackers in the middle of the court. 

Last, we played jedi dodgeball. There was 1 jedi on both of our teams. Someone had to be a jedi in our team. If I got hit, I had to sit down so I could wait until the jedi tapped on my shoulder with the noodle so I could be back onto the game. If the jedi gets hit, the other team wins and we will restart the game.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to play netball. I did well on passing/throwing the ball. I need to improve on catching the ball.

Ripper Rugby

We played Ripper Rugby.

First, we had to practise passing the ball. We got into a group of 4 and we started passing the ball anti clockwise or clockwise.

Next, we played a Relay Race. There was 3 group in one team and another 3 group in one team. The first three people needs to start walking, the person who has the ball needs to pass to the person next to her and then the two other people needs to do the same thing.

Last, we played Ripper Tag. There was a Blue team and a Red team. We had to rip the tag off from the other team.

I enjoyed this activity because it was fun playing Ripper Rugby. I did well on playing Ripper Tag. I need to improve on passing the ball.

Kelly Sport – Dodgeball

We played 3 different versions of dodgeball.

First, we played jedi dodgeball. Coach Lucas explained the rules, then he split us into 2 teams. There was a purple team and an orange team. Someone had to be a jedi in our team. If I got hit, I had to sit down so I could wait until the jedi tapped on my shoulder with the noodle so I could be back onto the game. The jedi had to stand on the mat so he could not get hit by the ball. If the jedi got hit by the ball, then the jedi is out. 

Next, we played elimination dodgeball. If someone gets hit by the ball, they are out and they can’t get back into the game. If someone throws the ball at you but you caught it, then they are out of the game. 

Last, we played traditional dodgeball. If someone got hit, they had to sit in order and if someone in my team caught the ball, then the person who threw the ball at one of my teammates is out and the first person who got hit is back into the game. 

I enjoyed this activity because I played dodgeball. I did well on throwing. I need to improve dodging.

American Football

We revised playing American Football

First, we practised throwing the ball.

Next, we played piggy in the middle in 3’s. There are 2 people who need to throw the ball at each other and one person is in the middle so he could try touching the ball. If you drop the ball and the piggy touches it, then you are the piggy.

Last, we played piggy in the middle again but in class. It’s the same thing but it changed, there are 3 piggys and there are 2 footballs.

I enjoyed this activity because we revised playing American Football. I did well on throwing. I need to improve on catching.

AFL

I learnt how to throw, pass and catch in American Football.

First, Genesis showed us how to throw the ball.

Next, we played a game called down, down, down. We had to get into 3 groups and throw the ball clockwise or anticlockwise. If I drop the ball, I have to put one knee down and if I drop the ball again I need to put my other knee down. If you drop the ball again, I need to put my hand behind my back and if I drop the ball again, I need to put my other hand behind my back.

Last, we played another game called cone drop. There were 3 teams and 3 cones. We needed to throw the ball at the cones. We had to throw the ball at each cones. If we hit all the cones, we needed to throw the ball at the triangle pyramid.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to throw, pass and catch. I did well on catching. I need to improve my holding the ball properly.

Catching and Passing

We revised on stepping and passing.

First, we played a game called Octopus with a tiny square. The taggers in the middle need to say many things about what the person has. If the taggers said the things of what you have, you need to run to the other side. If you get tagged, you are a seaweed and you need to try touching someone while you can’t move.

Then, we revised on passing the ball to someone else. We got into 3 groups and made a triangle. We needed to pass the ball anticlockwise or clockwise.

Next, we had a competition to see who is the first team to win. We needed to pass the ball 20 times, if you drop the ball, we need to restart. If we pass the ball 20 times, we needed to sit down so the teacher could know your done.

Last, we had another competion to see who is the first team to win. We needed to split in 2 teams and there is one person in the middle. The person in the middle needs to pass the ball around the circle.

I enjoyed this activity because I revised on stepping. I did well on passing. I need to improve on stepping.
