Evaluating

I learnt how to evaluate.

First, I had to brainstorm 2 different opinions. My two opinions were: Mack just wanted to confirm the Guiness World Record and Mack just wanted to be a pilot

Next, I had to write my proof.

Last, I had to pick my opinion. The opinion I chose was Mack wanted to be a pilot because he wanted to follow his dreams.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to evaluate. I did well at writing the proof. I need to improve on brainstorming 2 different opinions.

Pencil Code

I learnt how to code.

First, I had to make a Small Square, Large Square, Triangle and a Rectangle. Then I had to take a screenshot and put the code in. For an example: The code for the triangle is – Speed 10, Pen Purple, Lt 35, Fd 100, Lt 110, Fd 100, Lt 125, Fd 115.

Last, I did the challenge. The challenges I had to make were: a Hexagon, an Octagon and a Pentagon.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to code. I did well on making all the shapes.

Cultural Stories

I made a google map and plot where the culture stories are from.

First, I read 4 stories. The stories I read were: Rua and Te Manu, Hinemoa and Tutanekai, The Kakangora, and Tsuru no Ongaeshi.

Next, I need to write down the summary of the 4 stories I read. For an example: I put the summary for Rua and Te Manu. Rua always warned Te Manu to not paddle far and beware of the Tangaroa, but Te Manu paddled too far. Rua had to go find him and then he found a whare under the sea and saw his son fixed on top of the whare. Tekoteko told Rua that he needs to defeat the Tangaroa to get his son back. After defeating the Tangaroa, Rua got his son back.

Last, I added the image or a video.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt new culture stories. I did well on plotting where the stories is from. I need to improve on summarising.

Netball

We learnt how to pass, catch and shoot the ball into the hoop in netball.

First, we practise playing netball. There were 2 defenders and 2 shooters, the shooter cannot run with the ball, they have to try passing the ball to the other shooter and the 2 defenders are trying to defend the ball from the shooters.

Next, we played a game. There was the non-bib team and the bib team. We had to try getting all the ball on the hoop by passing the ball to our other teammates. If we drop the ball, we have to put all the ball back to another hoop.

Afterwards, we played a game of netball. There were 2 defenders, 2 shooters on my team and the other team, and there were 8 attackers in the middle of the court. 

Last, we played jedi dodgeball. There was 1 jedi on both of our teams. Someone had to be a jedi in our team. If I got hit, I had to sit down so I could wait until the jedi tapped on my shoulder with the noodle so I could be back onto the game. If the jedi gets hit, the other team wins and we will restart the game.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to play netball. I did well on passing/throwing the ball. I need to improve on catching the ball.

Commanding Conversation

I completed a can do activity called Commanding Conversation.

First, I had to pick an image.

Next, I chose a name for the people that is on the image. The names I chose were: Rome, Chester and Abby.

Last, I typed down a conversation to describe the image.

I enjoyed this activity because. I did well on writing my own conversation. I need to improve on checking my sentences.

Basic Facts Boxes

I completed a Basic Facts can do in Multiplication in Random.

My finishing time was 7 minutes and 38 seconds and I got all the answers correct.

I enjoyed this activity because it makes me practise saying the answer faster. I did well on getting all the answers correct. I need to improve on my 8, 7 and 9 times table.

Editing Sentences

I completed a writing activity.

First, we played Kahoot for a warm up. We had to name 30 logos.

Next, I had a writing task I had to complete, it was Editing Sentences. I had to read through the sentences so I could spot the mistakes.

Last, I fixed all the mistakes that was in the sentences.

I enjoyed this activity because I edited the sentences so it could make sense. I did well on fixing the mistakes that was in the sentences. I need to improve on checking the sentences properly.

Co-ordinates

I learnt how to use Coordinates.

First, I learnt what is coordinates and how is wrote. Coordinates is just like a map that shows you where to find the location in the correct place. Coordinates is a table with the numbers on the side and the letters on the bottom and its wrote like this (B,2).

Next, I had to explain how to find coordinates. You have to read the bottom row first and see which place it’s in. Then read the side and see which row it’s in.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how to use Coordinates. I did well on finding coordinates. I need to improve on explaining how to find coordinates.
